Biography
Souleymane Faye (born 8 February 2003) is a Senegalese professional footballer who plays as a left winger for Segunda Federación side Betis B, on loan from Talavera, and the Senegal national team.
Club career
Faye left Senegal for Spain in January 2022, joining Granada B. In the summer, he joined Talavera, where he would make twenty-nine appearances and score one goal in his first season. On 12 July 2023, Faye signed for Betis B.
International career
In the 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, Faye scored Senegal's first goal of the tournament in a 1–0 win over Nigeria. In the final on 11 March, he scored the opening goal, leading Senegal to defeat Gambia 2–0. Faye was recognized as the player of the match.
On 5 September 2023, Faye received his first call-up to the Senegal national team for an Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Rwanda.
