Song Kang (born April 23, 1994) is a South Korean actor.
Career
He made his television debut in the 2017 romantic-comedy The Liar and His Lover, in which he portrayed the main character's childhood friend. The same year, he was cast in the family drama Man in the Kitchen whose broadcast ended in 2018. He also appeared in two music videos: "Sweet Summer Night" by acoustic duo The Ade and "Love Story" by Suran. He participated in Namoo Actors's "Introduction to Rookies" fan meeting on July 8, 2017 alongside Oh Seung-hoon and Lee Yoo-jin. Tickets sold out within 30 seconds. He made his film debut a week later in Beautiful Vampire.
Song hosted the music program broadcast Inkigayo from February 18 to October 28, 2018 alongside Seventeen's Mingyu and DIA's Jung Chae-yeon. The same year, he appeared on the San Francisco tour of television program Salty Tour with Sunny and Park Chanyeol. He also became a fixed member of the variety show Village Survival, the Eight. He was nominated in the "Rookie Award" category during the 12th SBS Entertainment Awards for his works on Inkigayo and Village Survival, the Eight.
In 2019, Song made a special appearance in the thirteenth episode of tvN's Touch Your Heart. He also accepted a supporting role in When the Devil Calls Your Name, which is an adaptation of Goethe's Faust. He landed his first lead role in the Netflix television series Love Alarm. He appeared in Vibe's "Call Me Back" music video.
In 2020, Song is set to star in Sweet Home, adapted from the webtoon of the same name.
