Seth Grossman (born 19 September 1975) is an American filmmaker best known for his work on the drama "A Late Quartet," one of Philip Seymour Hoffman's last films.
Early life and education
Seth Grossman was born on 19 September 1975 in Durham, North Carolina. He was raised in Durham.
He attended North Carolina School of Science and Math, graduating in 1993. In the years 1993–1997, he attended Princeton University, Princeton, New Jersey, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Creative Writing. Later, he studied filmmaking at New York University and graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree in 2004. He was awarded a Screenwriting grant at NYU in 2002 for Boy in a Box and a Production grant at NYU in 2002 for Feedback.
His short film Shock Act won the Best Narrative Short Award at the 2004 Tribeca Film Festival and the Gold Hugo for Best Student Film at the Chicago International Film Festival.
