Sergey Pavlov (mass murderer)

Sergey Pavlov (Russian: Сергей Павлов) is a Russian mass murderer, who shot and killed 4 people on December 4, 2013, and years earlier stabbed a man to death, for which he had already been convicted. Pavlov was arrested two days after the shooting, and is currently awaiting trial.

Sergey Pavlov was born in 1981 in the city of Vladimir, Soviet Union (now Russia). An alcoholic who drank heavily, in a drunken fight Pavlov stabbed two convicts with a knife - one of the men died and the another was badly injured. For this crime he could have been sentenced for life imprisonment, but he was sentenced to only eight-years imprisonment and was released after three-years. Pavlov was later convicted for two minor crimes but soon released. For a few years he worked as foreman, where his colleagues described him as an angry, conflicted man who did not have any friends.

On December 4, 2013, Pavlov was fired for being frequently drunk while on duty. In the evening four workers were in his office, and a drunk Pavlov knocked on the door, where one worker asked him go away. Pavlov took his Browning HP pistol and shot him through the door, hitting him in the head, killing him instantly. Pavlov then shot at the door lock and began shooting the another unarmed workers in the office.

After the killings Pavlov stole the workers salary and ran away, dumping the pistol in the forest. He intended to escape, but detectives who arrived on the scene knew that he travelled back to Vladimir, and was arrested two days later on December 5, 2013, while sleeping at his friends house.

Pavlov is currently being held awaiting trial, where he is believed to be sentenced to life imprisonment.
