Scott Christie

Scott Christie is a Scottish Goalkeeper who currently plays for Bo'ness United. Scott Christie started his career at Stirling Albion progressing through the youth system, before eventually playing for Bo'ness United, Linlithgow Rose, Hamilton Academical and for FK AS Trenčin in the Fortuna Liga in Slovakia.
Scott Christie also has a glove sponsorship with Behalt gloves.

Scott Christie went to school in Falkirk where he attended Graeme High School.

Scott Christie also played with Hutchison Vale boys club. Where he is on the "Famous Hutchie players" page at Stirling Albion along with other players such as Stewart Devine and Brian Alison.

Christie also has a younger brother who is signed with Bo'ness United.

Stirling Albion (2003–2011)

Christie was in the squad which gained promotion to the Scottish Football League First Division via the play-offs where on the 12th of May 2007 Stirling Albion defeated Airdrie. The game was played in front of a shared support of 3,465 people. Stirling Albion secured the win with Robert Snodgrass scoring two goals and Stewart Devine scoring the third goal to gain the Binos promotion from the Second Division to the First Division winning 5–4 over the two legs. Although the promotion was short lived as during the 2007–08 Scottish First Division the Binos relegation was confirmed on the 8th of April after a 1–0 defeat against Partick Thistle at Forthbank. Dundee FC also were in the record books for the biggest away win that season as they managed to take six goals off Stirling Albion away from home in a 6–1 victory at Forthbank.

Christie was the goalkeeper for the Stirling Albion side that faced Celtic FC at Celtic Park which finished 3–0 to Celtic. It wasn't all plain sailing for the cup holders, with Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink only breaking the deadlock in the 37th minute with a powerful header passed the Stirling keeper and the final goal came from a 25-yard spectacular from Shunsuke Nakamura

The young goalkeeper was in the goals when Stirling Albion were defeated 9–0 in the Scottish Cup 4th round match against Ross County in February 2010, the season where Ross County reached the final of the Scottish Cup after defeating Glasgow Celtic in the semi final clash at Hampden Park. Christie went on to win the Second Division with Stirling Albion during the 2009–10 Scottish Second Division season where the club were at one point 15 points behind local rivals Alloa Athletic and the title look all but gone, however 8 games compressed into 21 days saw the team pull together and the gap between the Binos and Alloa was reduced. As the long time leaders began to lose games the Binos consistent run of form saw them regain top spot on the penultimate weekend of the campaign. Stirling then had two chances to win the title. A dramatic 3–3 draw at Cowdenbeath knocked the Fife side out of title contention and meant only a draw was required four days later at Brechin City. The Binos won the league at Glebe Park after a 1–1 draw which saw them win their first divisional title for nearly 15 years.

The following season under new management staff Jocky Scott and assistant John Blackley saw the binos face relegation during the 2010–11 Scottish First Division back to the Scottish Football League Second Division. Christie was in the squad when the players offered to play for free in February 2011 due to the ongoing financial situation at Stirling Albion. The Goalkeepers final ever game for the Albion was at Forthbank against Morton in a game which finished 3–2 for Stirling. After eight years service at the club, it was announced that the long serving goalkeeper was to be released from the 15th May 2011. The club went into financial difficulty and chairman Peter McKenzie agreed to sell the rest of his shares to the BuyStirlingAlbion fans campaign.

Bo'ness United (2011–2012)

Christie signed with Scottish East region Super League side Bo'ness United after his deal with former Binos manager Allan Moore fell through at Greencock Morton , where he was eventually made the club captain during his first season. After an impressive start at Bo'ness United Christie was loaned out to Hamilton Academical. During The month of December he made three appearances for the club where his debut was against his home town of Falkirk which ended in a 0–0 draw. Scott also saved a penalty against Queen of the South in a 2–1 win for the Accies and his last game was in December against Greenock Morton at New Douglas Park.

Hamilton Academical (2012–2013)

Billy Reid then signed Christie for the first division outfit Hamilton Academical on August 2012 on a part-time contract, where he was the understudy to Hamilton Goalkeeper Kevin Cuthbert for the majority of the season. The Goalkeeper featured in a game against Celtic where Tom Rogic made his first appearance for the European Giants. The Celtic page stated "A wayward pass from Matthew Craig saw Patrik Twardzik pick the ball up on the right-hand flank, squaring to Tom Rogic who sidefooted beyond Scott Christie from around 12 yards out." This was Tom Rogic's first goal for Glasgow Celtic. Christie was apart of the Hamilton side that was a step away from the Scottish cup semi finals at Hampden after being defeated 1–0 at New Douglas Park by his home team Falkirk. Accies then agreed to place the 25 year old goalkeeper on the transfer list at his own request. Hamilton secretary Scott Struthers stated that "Scott has a year left on his contract however Kevin Cuthbert played in every game and Scott wants to get his gloves dirty.” This allowed for the 2012–13 Scottish Junior Football East Region Super League champions Linlithgow Rose to agree a fee for Christie.

Linlithgow Rose (2013–2015)

After spending two years at the club, the goalkeeper was again made available for transfer for Linlithgow's rivals Bo'ness to make a bid for Christie.

Bo'ness United (2015–2017)

Christie joined Bo'ness for a second spell playing with the East Super League Side for a further year making 40 appearances in his first year as well as playing two games on an emergency loan basis with Slovakian 2011 Slovakian Liga 1 champions FK AS Trenčin

During Christies first year he won the 2015-16 East of Scotland cup after beating Dundonald Bluebell 5-1 at Creamery Park in Bathgate.

FK AS Trenčín (2016-current)

Christie signed on loan with FK AS Trenćín after manager Martin Ševela agreed to sign Christie on an emergency loan basis. Christies first appearance was away to Slovan Bratislava at the Štadión Pasienky where Christie kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw against the Králi Bratislavy (Kings of Bratislava) turning away a penalty from Tamás Priskin on the 20/09/15.

His second appearance was at home in a 2-0 victory over Podbrezová at the Štadión na Sihoti on the 19th of March 2016.

Christie only made 2 appearances on the emergency loan agreement between his parent club and FK AS Trenćín.
