Biography
Rear Admiral Sarath Weerasekara is a Sri Lankan politician and a Former member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka for Ampara. He was a Rear admiral in the Sri Lankan Navy. . He was also the former Deputy Minister of Labour and Labour Relations
Early life
Sarath was educated at Nalanda College, Colombo and at Ananda College Colombo. He is also a graduate of University of Kelaniya before joining Sri Lanka Navy as an Officer cadet. He retired from Sri Lanka Navy as a Rear admiral. Sarath is a brother of Major General Ananda Weerasekara.
