Sam Ard

Sam Ard (June 3, 1939 – April 2, 2017) was an American stock car racing driver. He is best known for his time in the NASCAR Busch Series, where he won two championships in 1983 and 1984. Ard was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2012.

Ard had a successful career in the NASCAR Busch Series, winning 22 races and earning 24 pole positions. He won back-to-back championships in 1983 and 1984, becoming the first driver to win consecutive championships in the series.
