Sakis Gouzonis (Greek: Σάκης Γκουζώνης) is a Greek composer of electronic music.
To this day, Sakis Gouzonis has released 17 music albums, has won 10 music awards, and has gained hundreds of thousands of followers in many countries through social networks, such as MySpace and PureVolume.
Early life
Sakis Gouzonis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. At the age of ten, Sakis and his family moved to Elassona, which is located at the foot of Mount Olympus, the mythical place of the twelve Olympian gods.
Sakis had always dreamed of having his own electronic musical instrument. His dream came true in 1990 when he got his first electronic keyboard. Sakis immediately started composing and orchestrating music, without any conservatory education at all. Although he was very young, he had the innate ability to play music by ear, without the aid of music books.
Music Career
On August 8, 2008, Sakis Gouzonis released his 1st studio album, First Contact. The album included 10 music tracks composed and orchestrated by Sakis himself. Three of the album's tracks won music awards. More specifically, in the international Composition Competition 2007, Sakis won 3rd Prize for his original music composition Anthem Of Love and a Commendation Award for his original music composition Give Me A Chance. A year later, in the international Composition Competition 2008, Sakis won 3rd Prize for his original music composition Elegy. Two years later, in the UK Songwriting Contest 2010, Sakis won a Semi-Finalist Award for his original music composition Elegy.
The following year, on September 9, 2009, Sakis Gouzonis released his 2nd studio album, New Earth. The album, which won 1st Prize in the 2nd Meeting of Music & Poetry 2009, included 10 music tracks composed and orchestrated by Sakis himself. Additionally, two of the album's tracks won music awards. More specifically, in the international Composition Competition 2009, Sakis won 2nd Prize for his original music composition Elohim, and in the international Composition Competition 2010, Sakis won 1st Prize for his original music composition Eternal Peace. Furthermore, in the UK Songwriting Contest 2009, Sakis won a Semi-Finalist Award for his original music composition Elohim, and in the UK Songwriting Contest 2010, Sakis won a Semi-Finalist Award for his original music composition Eternal' Peace.
On October 10, 2010, Sakis Gouzonis released his 3rd studio album, The Tree Of Life. The album included 10 music tracks composed and orchestrated by Sakis himself. One of the album's tracks won a music award. More specifically, in the international Composition Competition 2010, Sakis won 1st Prize for his original music composition Seed Of Hope.
Between 2011 and 2024, Sakis Gouzonis released 14 more studio albums, each containing 10 original music tracks: Ultimate Love (2011), Vast Victory (2012), Spiritual Unity (2013), Golden Heart (2014), A World At Peace (2015), Liberating Truth (2016), Amazing Space (2017), Open Horizon (2018), Precious Time (2019), Desire For Light (2020), Sweet Freedom (2021), Wonderful Dream (2022), Inner Power (2023) and True Hope (2024).
