Saira Afzal Tarar (Urdu: سائرہ افضل تارڑ) (born: 1966) is a Pakistani politician and parliamentarian who serves as the Minister of National Health Services Regulation and Coordination and is a member of the National Assembly from Hafizabad-I since 2008.
Early life and education
She is the daughter of Afzal Husain Tarar, a former parliamentarian and the daughter-in-law of the former President of Pakistan Rafiq Tarar. She was born in the village of Kolo Tarar of Hafizabad. She got her early education from Queen Marry School Lahore and later she graduated with BSc in Home Economics. Eventually she earned her Msc in Home Economics from Punjab University
Political career
She ran for the Parliament of Pakistan in General elections of 2008 and 2013 from Constituency NA-102 on PML-N ticket, winning both times. On 7 June 2013, She was sworn in as Minister of State for Health in the cabinet of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
