Biography
Roy Clingan (born 1950) is an American amateur astronomer based in Arkansas.
According to the Minor Planet Center, he discovered 60 asteroids between 2001 and 2007. Asteroid 33747 Clingan was named in his honor.
He has spearheaded the effort to build the Red River Astronomy Club's Observatory and has been a mentor for other amateur astronomers along the way.
