Biography
Robert Charles Asch (born 1968) is a British Catholic writer and scholar. He teaches English at Chavagnes International College in France.
Early life
Robert Asch was born into an Anglo-Canadian Jewish family in 1968 in London. His parents were both opera singers. He was educated at St Paul's School and the University of Toronto.
Career
Asch is co-editor of the St. Austin Review, a Catholic review of culture, and Editor of Saint Austin Press.
Asch has been Senior Master and teacher of English and History at Chavagnes International College, France, since its inception in 2002. He was recently awarded a Wilbur Research Fellowship at the Russell Kirk Center for Cultural Renewal for his work towards a new study of the English poet Lionel Johnson.
Personal life
Asch is married to the poet Ruth Tyldesley Asch. He converted to Catholicism in 1996. He resides on Northwestern France.
