Quick Facts
Biography
Robert Anthony Angus "Robbie" Peters (born 18 May 1971) is a retired English professional football midfielder and currently a coach. He played in the Football League for Brentford and Carlisle United.
Playing career
Brentford
Peters began his career in the youth system at Division Three side Brentford, joining the club at the age of 14 and commencing a scholarship after leaving school in 1987. Playing in the same generation as Marcus Gayle, Paul Buckle and Ashley Bayes, Peters was part of the youth team which reached the semi-finals of the 1988–89 FA Youth Cup. He signed a professional contract in the summer of 1989 and made his debut for the first team during the 1989–90 season, but failed to win a regular place in the side, only making 10 appearances and scoring one goal by the end of the 1990–91 season.
With Brentford challenging for promotion from Division Three in the 1991–92 season, Peters managed only 14 appearances and matters failed to improve after the Bees' promotion to the new second-tier Division One for the 1992–93 season, when he managed just one substitute appearance all season. He had rejected the offer of a new contract before the beginning of the season. Peters made 17 appearances and scored one goal during the 1993–94 season, but after failing to make any appearances in the early part of 1994–95, he left Griffin Park in November 1994, having made just 42 appearances and scored two goals in five years as a professional.
St Albans City (loan)
Peters and Brentford youth teammate Khotso Moabi joined Isthmian League Premier Division club St Albans City on loan in November 1990. He made 24 appearances and scored 4 goals before being recalled by Brentford in April 1991.

In March 1993, Peters Conference side Woking on loan until the end of the 1992–93 season, making seven appearances.
Slough Town (loan)
In January 1994, Peters joined Conference strugglers Slough Town on loan until the end of the 1993–94 season. He made 15 appearances and scored three goals for the Rebels.
Carlisle United
Peters joined Division Three side Carlisle United in November 1994, but managed just eight appearances during the 1994–95 season before being released in 1995.

Peters moved to Australia in the early 2000s and won the Victorian State League Division One with Frankston Pines in 2007.
