Biography

Rizwan–ul–Haq is a Pakistani guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, occasional actor, music composer, record producer, and backing vocalist, earning fame as lead guitarist for the acclaimed band, Vital Signs. Studied music and business at Lansdowne College in London, and engineering at the University of Peshawar, he became close to Rohail Hyatt, which he was invited to join the Vital Signs in 1991 following the departure of Salman Ahmad.
Rizwan-ul-Haq was noted as band's premier member who felt right at home plucking out melodic riffs and leads and hanging on well with the album’s somber mood. He composed guitar tunes and melodies for the rest of three albums, VS 2 (1991), Aitebar (1993), and Hum Tum (1995). After recording the last album in 1995, Rizwan-ul-Haq left the band to work as a music composer and recording producer for the PTV. In addition, he has an amazing collection of almost 25 gibson les paul gutairs since 2008. In 2012, he release his first solo album, Dil Ruba, and also release many of vintage songs with new guitar melodies that he had recorded during his times as Vital Signs' lead guitarist.
