Rita Felciano

Rita Felciano is a Swiss-born American writer and dance critic.

Felciano was born as Rita Baumgartner in Zurich, Switzerland, and educated there.

She wrote on dance for the San Francisco Bay Guardian for over two decades and is a Contributing Editor to Dance Magazine and also writes for the danceviewtimes.com and dancersgroup.org.

Rita is married to famed American contemporary composer and UC Berkeley Professor Emeritus Richard Felciano. She also studied at the University of California, Berkeley, California.

Their son, Manoel Felciano (born November 12, 1970,) is a well-known film and stage actor, singer, and songwriter.
