Richard Ojeda

Richard Ojeda is a Democratic member of the West Virginia Senate from district 7, covering Logan, Boone, Lincoln, parts of Wayne, and parts of Mingo counties. Ojeda achieved national attention when he was beaten in a primary campaign event in May 2016. Ojeda is running for West Virginia's 3rd congressional district vacated by Republican Evan Jenkins, who retired to run for the U.S. Senate.In the West Virginia Senate, Ojeda sponsored West Virginia Medical Cannabis Act, Senate Bill 386, which was signed into law by Governor Jim Justice on April 19th.
