Biography

Richard Keith Holton (born: April 2, 1970) has worked in Interior Architecture and Interior Design on projects around the world as well as created his own fine art that has been exhibited in such places as the Norton Museum of Art in Palm Beach. Richard is first and foremost an artist and incorporates artwork into each project he pursues. Richard's trademark combines unique artwork and custom finishes to his designs. Many of the items in a finished Richard Holton design are created specifically for the client and are one of a kind. Richard is currently working on one of only two Quinlan Terry private residences to be built in the United States. After Establishing Holton Arts in Dallas Texas, the opportunity international expanded quickly. This Prospered Richard Holton's Vision of preserving and celebrating the Decorative Arts in Architecture and design.

About

Although Richard has lived and worked all around the world, he currently calls home Palm Beach, FL. Richard owned and operated an artists' atelier in Dallas, TX in the design district for nearly 10 years before deciding to move to Miami, Palm Beach and nor Dorado Puerto Rico. Prior to opening an atelier in Dallas, Richard worked in Palm Beach, FL in the late 90's, doing mainly interior design and artistic finishes on Preservation homes vastly valued in the heritage of American architecture and design. Richard's accomplishments include many commercial projects but his focus has mainly been on residential. Richard works with teams of worlds' foremost experts in trompe l'oeil, hand-painted textiles, large-scale murals, faux painting and other decorative arts, acting as artistic and creative director. His decorative projects have been showcased around the world and are the artistic focus of many of the most expensive and lavish private residences built in the last century.

Richard Holton has contributed to many historical buildings and residences around the United States. He hired others to do the art deco murals for the Caliterra Restaurant in the Batterymarch Building7 in Boston, the restoration for the Casa Coral residence in Palm Beach as well as many other projects of historical note.

Noteworthy projects

-The Batterymarch Building in Boston, MA was the first art deco high-rise built in Boston built in 1928 and designed by Harold Field Kellogg8. Richard was commission by Wyndham Hotels during their renovation of the building in 2000 to design a monumental ceiling for the lobby entrance, an iconic entrance for an iconic building. The renovation was acknowledged in USA Today for its important historical significance to Boston's history.
-Richard was commission to create 7 WPA inspired murals drawing from Art Deco and WPA public buildings in Washington D.C. Richard used these murals to acknowledge a much overlooked period important to American architectural style and history.

-Casa Coral was designed by fabled Palm Beach architect John Volk in 1926 for Alfred Feltman, the founder of the Coney Island hot dog.
