Richard C. Daddario (born October 2, 1951) is an American attorney and politician.
He served as the New York Police Department's (NYPD) head of the counterterrorism unit, from 2010 to 2013. He was appointed in 2010. He resigned from his job in December 2013, due to controversies surrounding racial profiling of the police program alongside NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly and intelligence division chief David Cohen. He was also the United States Department of Justice attache in Moscow.
Personal life
Daddario was born on October 2, 1951, to Emilio Q. Daddario, a Democratic politician who represented Connecticut as a member of the 86th through 91st United States Congresses. He studied law at Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, D.C.
Daddario is married to Christina, also a lawyer, and they have three children: Alexandria (born March 16, 1986), Catharine (born December 16, 1992), and Matthew Daddario (born October 1, 1987) — all actors.
