Biography
Edward Reginald Blundell Leaf Turnell was a Welsh football outside right who played in the Football League for Glossop.
Personal life
Turnell served in the King's (Liverpool Regiment) and the Royal Flying Corps during the First World War. At the time of his death at Cambrai in November 1917, Turnell was serving as a second lieutenant in the Middlesex Regiment. He is commemorated on the Cambrai Memorial to the Missing.
