Rakesh Ranjan Kumar (राकेश रंजन कुमार) (Born 15 January 1972) is an Indian film Director and Writer. He directed Dear Friend Hitler which was premiered at Cannes Film Festival in 2011 and also it's promotions were held at 61st Berlin International Film Festival where it received positive reviews. The film created a lot of havoc all over the world for the theme it dealt with. Later the film got released in India as Gandhi to Hitler. Born in village kumraul, panchayat Garaul, Darbhanga, Bihar and a Post Graduate in Hindi Literature from Hindu College, University of Delhi, he participated in several stage plays as director, writer, actor including the productions like Oedipus, Punch Light, Sakharam Binder, Jaati Hi Poocho Sadhu Ki, Holi, Antigone, West Side Story etc. He also produced and directed TV serials like "Zameer" for DD1 in partnership with Subhash Ghai's Mukta Arts. He started his filming career as a writer with famous Hindi writer Late Manohar Shyam Joshi, filmmakers Imtiaz Ali, Anurag Kashyap and Abhinav Kashyap.
