Raimundo Ivanir Abreu Penha, better known as Raimundo Penha (born December 6, 1982 in Matinha) is a Brazilian lawyer and politician. He was president of Municipal Union of Secondary Students (2001–2006), president of State Council of Youth (2006–2009) and president of Socialist Youth of the PDT in Maranhão (2011).
Political carrer
Penha appeared in politics from 1997 when he was elected president of Union of Socialist Youth (UJS) in Maranhão.
In 2001, was elected president of Municipal Union of Secondary Students (UMES) in Maranhão.
In 2002, member of Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB), endorsed Jackson Lago e Lula.
In 2006, he was elected president of the State Council of Youth. Endorsed Jackson Lago and Lula.
In 2008, Penha endorsed Flávio Dino.
In 2010, Penha endorsed Jackson Lago and Dilma Rousseff.
In 2011, Penha became president of Socialist Youth of PDT in Maranhão. In December 28, 2011, he was succeeded by Idalete Rodrigues.
Penha was vice-president of Socialist Youth of PDT in Maranhão, from 2011 to 2013.
In 2014, Penha endorsed Flávio Dino and Dilma Rousseff.
In 2016, Penha was elected councilman of São Luís.
