Rafel Crespí was born in Sa Pobla (Mallorca) in 1962. Is Full Professor (Catedrático) at the Business Economics department in the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB) since June 2002. He has been professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) until 1997 and He also taught at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He has been visiting researcher at Tilburg University, in the Netherlands and Oxford University, at the Said Business Schoo. PhD at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, in the Business Economics Department. His dissertation was both on theoretical and applied corporate governance issues. Currently He is the director of the Banca March Family Business Chair, academic director of the Doctorate in Economics, Management and Organisation (DEMO) and co-director of the EUGE program (Especialista Universitàri en Gestió d'Empreses)
