Pri Pambudi Teguh (born 23 March 1961) is an Indonesian judge, writer, and lecturer. He served as aJustice at the Supreme Court of Indonesia beginning in 2018. He is the older brother of politician Ganjar Pranowo.
Early life
Pri was born on 23 March 1961 in Kutoarjo, in Purworejo Regency, Central Java. He was the second child/son of S. Pamudji and Sri Suparni. His brothers were Pri Kuntadi, Pri Pambudi Teguh, Pri Jadi Joko Prasetyo, and Ganjar Pranowo. His sisters were Prasetyowati and Nur Hidayati. His youngest brother, Ganjar, served as Central Java governor from 2013 until 2023.
He enrolled in the Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University, majoring in constitutional law, followed by a master's degree from IBLAM School of Law. He received his Ph.d from Padjadjaran University.
Career
Pri started his career by as a judge at Semarang high court and as a lecturer at National University. In 2018, he was appointed Supreme Judge of the Civil Chamber. On 15 August that year, Pri was appointed along with Abdul Manaf as chief justice at Supreme Court of Indonesia. He worked at the Supreme Court for 14 years and was questioned by Judicial Commission of Indonesia. He said that he had not reported his account for five years, because it was often used by irresponsible people in cases of falsifying decisions.
In 2023, Pri published Pembuktian Materiil Dalam Perkara Tanah, a book about efforts to eradicate the land mafia through judge's decisions, and launched the book at Faculty of Law at Jenderal Soedirman University.
