Biography
Petter Sortland (født 3. mai 1961 i Årdal) har siden høsten 2011 vært ordfører i Høyanger kommune i Sogn og Fjordane. Etter kommunestyrevalget i 2015 ble han gjenvalgt som ordfører i Høyanger for perioden 2015-2019. Sortland representerer Arbeiderpartiet. I februar 2016 ble han valgt til leder for Sogn regionråd som er etregionssamarbeid mellom ni kommuner i Sogn.
Før han ble ordfører i 2011 var Sortland næringssjef i Høyanger kommune og daglig leder av Høyanger Næringsutvikling (HNU).
