Ad annum 1968 apud Universitatem Bucarestensem iurisprudentiae studebat, deinde militavit et anno 1969 in ministerio commercii externi operam dedit. Annis 1970 - 1976 causidicus Bucarestae fuit atque deinde in ministerio iustitiae operam dedit. Etiam post finem regiminis Communisticae in ministerio mansit. Anno 2001 Ioannes Iliescu praeses rei publicae eum iudicem summi iudicii Romaniae nominavit. Die 26 Iulii 2008 hoc officio fungens mortuus est.
