Biography
Pedro Fábregas (born 12 April 1965) is an officer at American Airlines Group, the parent company of American Airlines, US Airways, and Envoy Air. Fábregas was named president and chief executive officer of Envoy Air Airlines in December 2013. At Envoy Air, Fábregas oversees one of the world's largest regional airlines, with more than 14,000 employees and operating more than 220 regional aircraft on approximately 1,400 daily flights to nearly 150 cities throughout the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
Fábregas has more than 30 years of airline industry experience and joined American Airlines in 1983. In his most recent role as Envoy Air's senior vice president – customer services, he significantly expanded Envoy Air's ground handling business by increasing the organization's work with other carriers at more than 75 new airports with nearly 2,000 new employees. Fábregas' previous experience also includes serving as Envoy Air's vice president of finance & planning and chief financial officer, as well as being the president & CEO of Executive Airlines, a former AMR Corp. wholly owned subsidiary.
Fábregas holds a bachelor's degree in administration and finance from the University of the Sacred Heart, Puerto Rico, and a master's degree from the University of Miami, School of Business Administration in Coral Gables, Florida. He is a member of the University of Miami's board of overseers and the American Airlines Federal Credit Union's board of directors.
