Pavlos Haikalis (Greek: Παύλος Χαϊκάλης; born 1958 in Katakolo, Elis is a Greek actor and politician. From 18 July 2015 until 28 August 2015 he was the Deputy Minister of Social Security in the coalition government of Alexis Tsipras. From May 2012 until August 2015 Haikalis was a member of the Hellenic Parliament for the Independent Greeks representing the Attica constituency. Before joining the cabinet he was spokesman of his party for social security.
His acting career includes many films and TV series. One of his recent films is The Limousine (2013). The New York Times website mentions his participation in the film Loukoumadhes Me Meli, (2004) directed by Olga Malea
.When Haikalis became Deputy Minister he said that he was taking over "a very hot potato", which he had to "cool down".
