Paulina Mary Jean Gretzky (born December 19, 1988) is an American singer, model, and actress.
Early life
Paulina Gretzky was born on December 19, 1988, in Los Angeles, California, to former Canadian ice hockey player Wayne Gretzky and American actress Janet Jones. Her parents met on the 1984 television show Dance Fever and married in Edmonton in July 1988.
She has four younger siblings: three brothers and a sister.
Gretzky attended Nightingale-Bamford School, New York City. While in New York, she also attended American School of Ballet.
Career
At the 2003 NHL Heritage Classic, Gretzky sang in front of an audience for the first time at the age of 14. During her performance, she sang the song I Will Remember You by Sarah McLachlan in front of 57,167 spectators. In September 2004, she sang the Canadian National Anthem before the semi-final game between the Czech Republic and Canada during the 2004 World Cup of Hockey in Toronto, Canada.
In 2005, she produced the song Collecting Dust for the television series Laguna Beach, which aired on MTV. The song was initially distributed on iTunes on July 26, 2006, and was available to be purchased on an audio CD on February 2, 2010.
In August 2005, at the age of 16, Gretzky was seen on the cover of the Canadian fashion magazine Flare, photographed by Max Abadian. She was again on the cover of the magazine in February 2013. In 1998, her mother had also posed for the magazine.
In 2000, Gretzky played the role of Pink Girl in director Jason Reitman's short film In God We Trust. Nine years later, she was in front of the camera for the dance film Fame, starring Kay Panabaker and Walter Perez. In 2010, she appeared on E!'s reality series Pretty Wild, in the episode The Arrest. The series was discontinued after the first season. In 2011, she starred in the direct-to-DVD production Guns, Girls and Gambling, which was released in 2012; she received a smaller speaking role of a deputy alongside Gary Oldman, Christian Slater, and Helena Mattsson.
Gretzky was last seen on the silver screen in 2013 in a minor role in director Dennis Dugan's comedy film Grown Ups 2, starring Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, and David Spade.
Personal life
Paulina Gretzky is currently in a relationship with professional golfer Dustin Johnson since 2011. They have been engaged since August 2013 and have two sons together: Tatum Gretzky Johnson (born January 19, 2015) and River Jones Johnson (born June 12, 2017.)
