Feud with Xuxa

The latter, who is affectionately known as "Queen of Children" for her television programs aimed at kids, was rebucked by da Silva in a public hearing where he accused her television program of inciting violence against children and spreading pornographic images. da Silva has campaigned to censor Xuxa's programs, although Xuxa strongly disputes his complaints.
