Pappukutty Bhagavathar (born March 29, 1913) is an Indian film singer and actor in Malayalam cinema. He is the father of Malayalam actor Mohan Jose. Malayalam film director K. G. George is his son-in-law.
Personal life
Pappukutty Bhagavathar was born on March 29, 1913 to Michael and Anna, in Vaippinkara, Kochi.
He sang for the 2010 released Marykkundoru Kunjadu at the age of 98, sixty years after he sang his first song for a movie, which made him the oldest Malayalee to sing in a film. The song ‘Entadukke Varum’ was a hit. He is married to Baby. They have five children, actor Mohan Jose,playback singer Selma George, Sabu Jose, Shadhi, and Jeevan. His son-in-law K. G. George is a Malayalam movie director. His grand children include Sooraj Sabu, swaroop sabu, Nivea Kesav, Lovna Mohan, Tara George, Arun George.
