Biography
Patrick "Paddy" Barry (13 August 1896 – 31 October 1967) was an Irish hurler who played as a left corner-forward for the Limerick senior team in the 1918 All-Ireland final.
Born in Baggotstown (parish of Knockainey), County Limerick, Paddy Barry excelled at both hurling and football during his schooldays at St. Colman's College, Fermoy. He signalled his entry to the hurling limelight with some fine schoolday performances that won recognition from the college authorities to such an extent that he captained the Munster side which, in 1914, won the All-Ireland Colleges' Colleges' championship, after two exciting and epic struggles with Leinster.
He arrived on the inter-county scene when he first linked up with the Limerick senior team. During his brief inter-county career Barry won one All-Ireland medal and twoMunster medals.
At club level, Barry played with Murroe / Boher, Young Irelands and Fedamore.
