Biography
Panayiotis Jerasimof Vatikiotis (5 February 1928 – 15 December 1997) was a Greek-American political scientist and historian of the Middle East. He was Professor of Politics at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
P. J. Vatikiotis was born in Jerusalem, son of Paraskevi and Jerasimos Vatikiotis. He was educated at Greek and English private schools in Palestine, before studying at the American University in Cairo and Johns Hopkins University.
A festschrift was published in his honour in 1993.
