P.E. Moskowitz (born 26 July 1988) is an American journalist and author.
Moskowitz was born on July 26, 1988, in New York City, New York. He was raised in New York and currently resides in New Orleans.
He has written for many well-known American publications including The Nation, Vice, Mother Jones, Wired, Out Magazine, BuzzFeed, The New Yorker, and The New Republic.
In 2017, he published his first book—a book about gentrification, titled How to Kill a City: Gentrification, Inequality, and the Fight for the Neighborhood (Bold Type Books/Hachette). In August 2019, he published his second book The Case Against Free Speech: The First Amendment, Fascism, and the Future of Dissent (Bold Type Books/Hachette).
Moskowitz is also the co-founder (with Kyle Chayka) of Study Hall—a media newsletter and online support network for media workers.
