Biography
Osmo „Ossi“ Adolf Aalto (* 17. August 1910 in Helsinki; † 20. Januar 2009 ebenda) war ein finnischer Jazz-Schlagzeuger und Orchesterleiter.
Aalto begann seine Musikerkarriere 1927 in der finnischen Formation Black Birds, spielte 1928–30 in der Saxophon Jazz Band und 1936–1939 im Orchester Dallapé. Von 1940 bis 1945 gehörte er dem Erkki Ahon orkesteri an. Er gründete 1945 eine Big Band, das Ossi Aallon orkesteri, das er 1948–1954 als Sextett bzw. ab 1954 als Quintett weiterführte.
