Biography
Omar S. Ishrak is a Bangladeshi-American business executive and the Chairman of Intel as of January 2020. He is also the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Medtronic since June 2011.
Biography
Ishrak born grew up in Bangladesh. He completed his secondary level from St Joseph Higher Secondary School, Dhaka. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from King's College London.
Before joining Medtronic, he previously served as the President and CEO of GE Healthcare Systems.
Omar has been serving as a member of the Intel board of directorssince March 2017. He was announced as the Chairman of the board in January 2020.
