Olesya Petrova (Russian: Олеся Витальевна Петрова, born April 26, 1999 in Moscow, Russia) is a Russian Rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2014 European Junior Clubs champion.
Career
Junior
Petrova competed in her first Junior nationals at the 2012 Russian Junior Championships finishing 17th in all-around
In 2013 Season, Petrova came in 4th in all-around at the 2013 Russian Junior Championships behind Dina Averina, she competed in the junior division at the Grand Prix in Moscow and World Cup Series. She won the junior all-around gold medal at the Grand Prix in Brno with a score of 64.316 ahead of teammate Veronika Polyakova who took the silver medal.
In 2014, She again finished 4th in the all-around at the 2014 Russian Junior nationals. Petrova competed in the World Cup series in Lisbon where she won gold in team, ball and bronze in clubs. At the 2014 Minsk World Cup she won gold in Team, and clubs. She competed at the 2014 European Junior Championships, where Petova together with teammates (Irina Annenkova, Yulia Bravikova and Veronika Polyakova) won Russia the Team gold. She qualified to 1 event final and won gold medal in Clubs with a score of 16.400 points. Petrova sustained an ankle injury eraly in the 2016 Season, she return to competition at the 2016 Russian Championships finishing 14th in the all-around.
