Biography

Ola Smeplass (født 4. april 1962) er en norsk politiker (Sp) og varaordfører i Bodø fra 2019–2023. Han ble valgt inn i bystyret i Bodø første gang i 2019. Han har tidligere sittet i kommunestyret i Rana kommune. Smeplass var forbundsleder i Det Norske Diakonforbund fra 2002 til 2011. Han var leder i Nordland Senterparti fra 2010 til 2014. Smeplass har sosionom- og diakonutdanning, og ble vigslet til diakon i Den norske kirke i 1991.
