Biography
Norbu Wangchuk is the Minister for Education in the Cabinet of the Royal Government of Bhutan.
He was appointed the Minister for the Ministry of Economic Affairs when his party, People's Democratic Party won the 2013 elections. Later in 2016 he was appointed the Minister for the Ministry of Education after the former Education Minister Mingbo Drukpa resigned from the Ministry. Norbu Wangchuk joined the Ministry of Education on April 8, 2016.
Norbu Wangchuk has a B.Sc degree majoring in botany and zoology, MBA and postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE). He started his career as a teacher and moved on to become senior lecturer at the Royal Institute of Management (RIM) and later worked as an education researcher and consultant.
