Nikhil Goyal

Nikhil Goyal is an American journalist and author of Schools on Trial: How Freedom and Creativity Can Fix Our Educational Malpractice, which was published by Doubleday, an imprint of Random House, in 2016. He has appeared on MSNBC and FOX and written op-eds and features for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, VICE Magazine, TIME, The Nation, and other publications. He is a notable critic of the traditional education system, standardized testing, and corporate school reforms and advocates for progressive, experiential education. The Washington Post called him a "future education secretary." In 2013, Goyal was named to the Forbes "30 Under 30" list. He is also the recipient of the 2013 Freedom Flame Award.
