Before playing for Pinnacle High School he has received multiple college scholarship offers, including to a Power Five conference.
International career
In U16 basketball, Mannion plays for Italy after being cut by the United States. He competed in the FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship.
Personal life
He is the son of former National Basketball Association player Pace Mannion. His father also played professionally in Italy, also winning the 1990–91 FIBA Korać Cup with Clear Cantù.
His mother was a professional volleyball player in Italy.
