Biography
Nancy Ingram Nooter (born Nancy Ingram November 30, 1927 – February 4, 2020) was an American curator, and artist. From 1975 to 1980, she worked at the National Museum of African Art.
She studied at University of California, Berkeley. She graduated from George Washington University. She taught African art history at American University, Georgetown University, and the Smithsonian Institution. She donated art to the National Museum of African Art, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and the Walters Art Museum.
Her work was exhibited at the Franz Bader Gallery, and Arkansas Arts Center. Her daughter was Mary Nooter Roberts.
