Nabindra Raj Joshi (born 8 January 1964, Kathmandu) is a former Minister for Industry (Nepali: उधोग मन्त्री) of Nepal and leader of Nepali Congress. He represents Kathmandu, Capital of Nepal in the Legislative Parliament since 2008. He served as Spokesperson of Nepali Congress, Parliamentary Party (2008-2013).
Joshi started his political career as a student leader. He was elected as Central Committee Member of Nepal Student Union in 1980 and later became General Secretary in 1986. He was elected as Secretary of Free Student Union at Trichandra College (1982–1984), first college of Nepal.
He is one of youngest office bearer at Kathmandu Metropolitan City, where he was elected as Deputy Mayor at the age of 27 in the first election of local bodies held after the restoration of democracy in 1990. During his tenure (1992–1997), he contributed significantly both on modernizations of the city and preservation of cultural heritages.
Nabindra Raj Joshi grew up listening the daring stories of Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala and Ganesh Man Singh and was influenced by their social democratic values and ideologies. Joshi is also a managing director in Kantipur College of Management & information Technology (KCMIT) and president of Bir Ganeshman Academy. He was the executive producer of Bir Ganeshman, a movie depicting life and time of late Ganeshman Singh.
