Early life

Mohammad Khaleel Jamjoum (Arabic:محمّد خليل جمجوم) was born in Hebron in 1902,at which he also studied in school.He studied later on at the American University of Beirut and was a part of the bloody events that were slightly after the 1929 Palestine riots that occurred when Palestine was still under the British mandate.

Jamjoum was known that he opposed Zionism and the British Mandate,as he participated in protests around the city of Hebron,which led him to be arrested with twenty five Palestinian Arabs by the British government.

The Events in Hebron

A lot of cities such as Jaffa, Haifa,and Jerusalem fought in the Buraq Uprising ,and the peak of the clashes were in Hebron since sixty Jews were killed.Then,the British arrested the Arabs responsible for the clashes,and on the forefront were Mohammad Khalil Jamjoum, Ataa AlZer and Fouad Hijazi. The twenty five Palestinian Arabs were to be executed,but the verdict was later changed into life imprisonment.Though,only three exceptions were made: Fouad Hassan Hijazi ,Mohammad Khalil Jamjoum ,and Ataa Ahmad AlZer

Day of Execution

At nine o'clock, on the Tuesday of the seventeenth of June,1930,it was the day our story's protagonist,Mohammad Khalil was executed with a loose in the Prison of Acre. He was originally the third one to die in the death sentence,but he tore the ropes and pushed Ataa AlZer, his mate in death aside to be the second executed man on that day.
