Biography
Minken Fosheim (real name Birte Fosheim) (born 20 March 1956) is a Norwegian actress and children's books author. She graduated from Teaterhøyskolen (the Theater Academy), and has since acted in various roles on stage, film and television. Rather than working under a permanent contract with any particular theater, she works as a freelancer. She has also had success writing books for children about composers, like Mozart, Grieg and Vivaldi. Fosheim runs the children's theater Barne- og ungdomsteateret from her home in Oslo, an educational institution with 170 children.
Her brother is the musician Lage Fosheim, known from the band The Monroes. She is married to André Wienskol – originally from France – whom she met when she was 21. Together they have two sons. Her oldest son, Tobias, has had a role on the Norwegian TV-series Nr. 13.
