Michail Belchev

Michail Ivanov Belchev (Bulgarian: Михаил Иванов Белчев) (born 13 August 1946) is a Bulgarian popular singer, songwriter, poet and director.
Belchev received first prizes for his songs at the Golden Orpheus Festival in 1969, 1984, 1990 and 1998, with a lifetime achievement award in 1996.

Belchev was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. He received his degree in Mining and Geology at the university in Sofia and Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy with an emphasis in television direction.

Belchev is married to Kristina Konstantinova Belcheva; they have a son named Konstantin.

Belchev has published nineteen poems and one poetry collection.
