A general election was held in the U.S. state of Kentucky on November 5, 2019, with all executive offices in the state up for election. Primary elections were held on May 21, 2019.
Governor and Lieutenant Governor
Incumbent Matt Bevin refused to concede the race to Attorney General Andy Beshear, who led by roughly 5,100 votes when all the precincts were counted. Senate President Robert Stivers said that the legislature could decide the race for the first time since 1899.
Attorney General
Republican Daniel Cameron made history Tuesday with his victory over former Kentucky House Speaker Greg Stumbo, becoming the first African-American to be elected the state's attorney general.
Secretary of State
Incumbent Democratic Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes is ineligible to run for a third term due to term limits.
