Melissa Garff Ballard is an American politician serving in the Utah House of Representatives, representing District 20.
Early life and career
Ballard lives in North Salt Lake.She has a B.S. and a Masters of Music from the University of Utah, and is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music. She served on the Advisory Board for Salt Lake CAP Head Start for six years.
Political career
Becky Edwards, the incumbent in Utah House district 20, did not seek re-election in 2018. Ballard won the Republican party nomination for the seat in a 3-way race in June 2018. Ballard was elected to the Utah House in November 2018, defeating Democrat Ryan L. Jones with 65% of the vote.
