Mazyar Asadi

Mazyar Asadi (Persian: مازیار اسدی‎, born 21 March 1979 in Tehran) is an Iranian photographer who specializes in photojournalism.

Asadi's first work was with major news agencies, websites, and newspapers from 2013. In 2017, he graduated with a BA degree in photojournalism at Tehran News University, in addition to his Diploma and Skill Trade Certificates from Iran's Technical and Vocational Training Organization in 2012.

He has received more than 40 awards and trophies from contests including Gold medal in Canada , Silver medal in Canada (2015), Silver medal in Turkeyand a Bronze medal in Spain. and some Ribbons and Honorable MentionAwards from Canada , Romania , UK (2014)and Iran.

lots of his photographs have been short-listed in festivals, selected as runner up or published including by The Guardian ,Smithsonian (magazine) ,Zuma Press ,Sputnik (news agency) ,Pacific press agency ,Fotoarena ,LensCulture ,Iranian Students News Agency , Iranian Labour News Agency , Mizan news agency , Hamshahri photo agency ,Iranimages photo agency , Defa press ,Eghtesadnews ,and the Alamy.

He is a member of several photography associations and accredited by organizations such as the European Press Federation, holder of International Press Card (IPC) and Passport, member of the Canadian Association of Photographic Art (CAPA), member of the Iranian Press Photojournalism Association and member of the Iranian Photography Association.
