Some of Max Odoy's paintings are now in Scotland. They were bought from the artist by Alfred Huehnhauser, a German civil servant, and inherited in turn by his daughter Erica, her husband Alexander Peden, and his nephew George Peden. They include portraits of Huehnhauser's daughters, Erica and Inge as young girls, and a posthumous portrait of Inge after she died of tuberculosis. Odoy also painted a copy of an early 19th century portrait of an ancestress of the family. The last work in the collection is a view of Oslo Fjord with some German graves in the foreground, presumably of men who died when the cruiser Bluecher was sunk there in 1940.
