Matthew Crane (born May 4, 1967) is an American actor best known for portraying "Matthew Cory" in the TV series Another World (1988-1999).
Early life and education
Crane was born on May 4, 1967, in Kimberton, Pennsylvania. He is the brother of Anthony Crane, a former J. Crew model.
He attended the Honolulu University and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Career
Crane made his screen debut in 1987 in the episode "Sitting Ducks", the 5th episode of the first season of the TV series General Hospital (directed by Aaron Lipstadt). That same year, he played "Crony" in the episode "Kahuna Jr." of the TV series The New Gidget alongside Caryn Richman, Dean Butler, Sydney Penny, and William Schallert.
In 1988, Crane landed the recurring role of "Matthew Cory" in David Cherrill and Donna Swajeski's TV series Another World. He was seen in 206 episodes alongside Stephen Schnetzer and David Bailey. Crane left the series in 1997 to pursue his passion for sculpting and returned in 1999.
Crane's last screen appearance was in 2009 as "Perry Baxter" in Martha Byrne and Alexandra Roalsvig's TV series Gotham the Series with Byrne, Michael Park, Kin Shriner, and Anne Sayre.
Crane has also worked as a model and in addition, he was a Formula Two motorcycle racer in New Hampshire.

Personal life
Crane married his former co-star Robin Christopher on April 11, 2000. They have two children together—a son August Christopher (b. July 14, 2004), and a daughter Gianna Maria (b. July 10, 2006). Their daughter Gianna used to play Skye's daughter, "Lila Alcazar", on General Hospital, the daughter of Skye (Robin's character) and "Lorenzo Alcazar" before Robin and Gianna left the show in 2008.
The family currently lives in Pennsylvania.
