Mathew Kaiser has spent most of his career in the energy sector. Founder of ICON, General Contractors, he has also led the management and development of the natural gas sector over the medium term (pipelines, processing, marketing) since its inception. He has also played a key role in the management and development of upstream oil and gas production properties.

Mathew is responsible for ICON General Contractor construction operations and provides strategic vision, oversight, and coordination of all services to deliver some of the most high-profile construction projects in California, Quebec city, Toronto and inside/outside these regions. In 1990, having been surrounded by construction his entire life, Mathew took a leap of faith and left his hometown to become a Project Engineer. Shortly thereafter, he started a small construction business in California, out of the back of his pick up truck. That company would develop into the ICON company and one of the most respected names within the building industry. Mathew continues to lead the company, providing leadership, opportunity and compassion. Even with its growth and success, ICON continues to reflect his personal devotion to family, community and innovation.

A venture philanthropist, Mathew has established a meaningful company culture of giving back, both financially and through hands-on volunteerism. For the past thirty-two years, Mr. Mathew has concentrated his ability in Project engineering in the area of commercial litigation with an emphasis on engineering and construction law and international commercial transactions. He has extensive experience with construction disputes worldwide with a particular focus on projects in South America and the Middle East.
